Welcome to Safe Kids Johnston County
The mission of Safe Kids Johnston County is to reduce death and injury to children in Johnston County through prevention, intervention, and education.
We envision a community where every child is safe from unintentional injuries through collaborative awareness efforts.
With the collaboration of our community partners, Safe Kids is dedicated to spreading awareness on a mulitude of risk areas. Partners include: Poe Center for Health Education, Johnston County Public Health, CMARC, Dept. of Social Services / APP Program, Johnston County Emergency Services, JC Sherriff's Offices, Selma Fire Department, Smithfield Fire Department, Selma Police Department, Clayton Police Department and Benson Police Department. We welcome anyone who would like to partner with Safe Kids Johnston County.
The Partnership for Children of Johnston County serves as our lead agency. They provide dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, Safe Kids implements evidence-based programs that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries. Bi-lingual staff are available and materials are available in English and Spanish.
